When you use fouroh, we collect:
- Account information: email address and password (hashed) when you sign up.
- Conversations: the messages you send and the AI-generated responses, stored to provide conversation history.
- Memories: facts extracted from your conversations (e.g., "prefers Python," "lives in New York") to personalize future responses.
- Usage data: message counts and subscription status for billing and limit enforcement.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Generate AI responses to your messages
- Extract and store memories to personalize your experience
- Enforce subscription message limits
- Process payments (via Paddle)
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate:
- OpenAI: your messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI's API data usage policy applies. We rely on OpenAI's policy and will update this notice if their policy changes.
- Convex: our database and backend provider. Your conversations, memories, and account data are stored on Convex infrastructure.
- Paddle: our payment processor and merchant of record. Paddle handles billing information, payment processing, taxes, and receipts. We do not store your payment card details.
- Vercel: our hosting provider for the web application.
4. Data Control
You have full control over your data:
- Memories: view and delete individual memories at any time through the memory panel.
- Conversations: delete individual conversations or your entire conversation history.
- Account: request full account deletion by contacting us. This permanently removes all your data.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete conversations or memories, they are permanently removed from our active systems. If you delete your account, all associated data is deleted from active systems, and may remain in backups for a limited period.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure authentication tokens. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication and theme preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
